preparing for your session at theta:
Everything you need to know to feel calm, ready, and get the very most from our time together
Before Your Appointment
Rest well the night before – a clear mind responds beautifully
Stay gently hydrated in the day(s) leading up
Eat a light, nourishing meal 1–2 hours beforehand (avoid heavy meals or excess caffeine)
Wear comfortable, loose clothing and layers
Silence your phone and arrange a quiet, private space (especially important for virtual sessions)
For virtual appointments: use headphones (if wireless, don’t forget to charge them!) and ensure a stable internet connection
What to Bring (or Have Nearby)
A small bottle of water and a light snack for afterward
A journal or notes app if you like to capture insights
An open mind – nothing more is required
What the Session Will Feel Like
Deeply relaxing – similar to the pleasant moments just before sleep
You remain aware and in full control at all times
Your eyes will be closed for most of the appointment (lip-reading isn’t possible – hearing aids are welcome and encouraged)
Time often feels beautifully distorted – an hour can feel like minutes or vice-versa
After Your Session
You’ll likely feel refreshed, calm, and often noticeably lighter (some people report feeling tired- this is also completely normal!)
Drink water, eat something grounding, and give yourself a little quiet integration time
For the next 2–3 hours your subconscious is especially receptive – avoid heavy/important decisions or distressing content
Many people notice positive shifts immediately; deeper changes often continue unfolding over the following days and weeks
